i think that c-kira was an otaku loser (lookit that desk) who thought he could be cool by taking on the role of kira. he never had any real motive other than his narccicism so l/near telling him off was enough to make him stop and kill himself.
I don't understand how Near thought C-Kira and Kira could be different at all before the reveal of who C-Kira was. I feel they were introduced as fundamentally the same character.
@AnimuVsMango Kira was motivated by "divine justice". C-Kira was supposedly motivated by "compassion". Original Kira would not target the people C-Kira targeted and vice-versa, thats why Near knew they were different.
This chapter made me think about how I would act if I had a "Death Note" in my hands.
It's easy to say that one would act the same as Light, but that's a lie.
