It's kind of a nice surprise to see that encounter with a prudish honor student type character not end with a gag about her getting the wrong idea and slapping him. Honestly, I've seen that gag a million times and I could go my whole life without ever seeing it again and die happy. But the way she immediately assesses the situation and realizes he was forced into it and shows compassion to that is actually interesting and nice. I don't know if this one's story is going to go anywhere worthwhile, but if the author keeps refining the way they write characters, I think that they'll go on to make some pretty cool manga someday.
