Thank you for the chapter! The main storyline here isn’t anything crazy new, but Allen really does make a good MC that’s interesting to follow.
though it's nice that they didn't just drop the whole affair with him and the goddess and his reincarnation in favor of having him just leave to go fuck around the world with a harem, it would be nice if they don't just, like, forget how messed up the thing with his parents was. Like, if you're going to reincarnate him as a form of retirement, don't give his mother a skill for birthing heroes and don't assign such a skill to someone sickly. Then, since he kept his old skills rather than being granted a new one, no one knows he's a hero and he then goes and hides his abilities so that he can be disowned and leave to live a peaceful life. So, the dad then spirals into madness thinking the mom died for nothing, which she did. Neither he nor the goddess wanted him to play the role of the hero this time but still granted that skill to his mom. He could have been born to any random woman, anyone without that skill or illness, and it would have been fine since there was a different hero anyways.
