Think that Author probably gave up on that Series just like he did with his other monster girl series named "12 Beasts".

I guess the Author is the type who can't visualize the Beta-type MC he created to be able to have proper relationship with the girls (especially if they are monster girls). It's ok for him to show other side-characters get in relationship, but the MC can't do that.

And considering that the current story of Monster Musume is in such a state that unless Author shows MC going for a real relationship, the plot can't move forward, it's likely that he would drop the series sometime soon enough.
