First it was me planning to read the first novel volume a few days ago. Later that day there was a special announcement for it. And now there's a manga of it.

The story feels standard even if the execution is novel.

Its a good little tale and the anime was well done. The main problem with the story is that it is just too derivative. The whole time I was thinking "Oh yeah, this reminds me of Battle Angel Alita" "Its just like Devil is a Part-Timer" "The city and the tech ideas are totally blade runner" "Oh look, Chobits persecoms"

In the end there is almost nothing original in the story if you've seen lots of other movies and anime. The characters and story itself is a good clattering tale but nowhere near the level to rise above the unoriginal content.

for anyone else curious, looking at raws (14.2), seems they only went up to episode 7 of anime, altho without even finishing the very last part (it stoped before maou picked the guy to throw, unless it was planned to be different in manga)
