Here is a timeline:

• September 28: chapter 123 part 1 is released.
• September 29: chapter 123 part 2 is released. English translation of chapter 123 part 1 is published.
• Start of October: a week-long national holidays in China start.
• October 5: author announces that he's giving signatures during some event and that he'll be busy working on volume 9 and is taking a week off.
• October 7: English translation of chapter 123 part 2 is published.
• October 12: no chapter today since author is taking a week off as he said on October 5.
• October 19: there should've been a chapter, but author skipped this week for some reason.
• October 26: chapter 123 part 3 is released. It's twice as long as previous parts. Author makes an announcement that manhua is switching to fortnightly and per-chapter cost is increased.
• October 27: author writes a couple of pages of text explaining his decision about switching to fortnightly and price increase, makes apologies and thanks those readers who'll decide to drop manhua because of these reasons. English translation of chapter 123 part 3 is published.

In short, there was one unscheduled break on October 19. Content-wise we've got 4 standard chapters of content during these 5 weeks, so technically the author was resting for just a week during Chinese national holidays.
