They got too complacent with their plan working on the party’s before.

I mean it’s probably rather rare for a new group to be able to react properly in a rather messed up situation as crim and her party found themselves in, the PKer are only there to make sure the monster actually kill the party.

Also Crim’s party isn’t really outplaying the PKer’s as they are more or less just forcing their way through.

So after the Oni specifically said praying to the shrine will hide you from the evil spirits or something, the rest of Crim's party just watched her do it alone, and didn't also pray at the shrine? LOL? Are they fucking stupid? Does that also mean a majority of the people who accepted the quest, in which the Oni would escort them and presumably say the same line of the shrines protection, just ignored the shrine?
