I always love when something floating take less blunt damage because it can move but the should also apply to jump attack like the so many author are fan of, heck even in the same scene crim is up in the air where all hit will be substantially weaker.

Jump attack hit hard because you have the mass and the inertia of the entire body behind it. Something that float will recieve less force from an impact because it is not fixed on the ground.

Hit a floating ballon full force with your fist and then drop kick a balloon fixed on the ground, you'll see the difference.
