Whoa a competent kogoro chapter, those are rare.

He didn't screw up once or interrupt conan with anything, whats going on here?

Gee, the guy carrying a huge stacks of money in a paperbag is a bad guy, who would've thought.

Aaandd the chapter just ends like that without following up Conan's sudden case of flashbacks two chapters ago. Classic Gosho blueballing.

Simple and cute case involving the Mouri family. Everyone brought their A-game, and they managed to solve the case easy-peasy.

In other news, Goshi is teaming up with Boichi to do a one-shot about Chianti. August 23 release date.

That was some exceptionally competent Kogoro, he didn't stumble at all during the deduction. I wonder if the others found it weird that he didn't "sleep" as he usually does.

Knew the lawyer will be the worst one. Although I should have thought the 2nd will be an AD or something

Remember it's not that he's incompetent, it's just that most of the cases they run into are so convoluted that no normal person could solve them. Like many cases have involved a Rube Goldberg machine that either killed the victim or locked the room they're in.

Kuri means chestnut. In Japanese it's common to call chestnuts "maron", which is the Japanese spelling of marron, the French name of a kind of chestnut. A marron is a different kind from the "kuri" chestnut, but people just lump them together.
