Plot twist, he just wants to thank Camel for the nice warning way back then. He almost got caught up in something really messy!

Not sure what will happen though. I want to say they'll figure out some way around it to hide his identity, but with the manga in the final stretch, this might be the first domino. I don't think Camel will get killed (for a murder mystery series this manga tends to avoid killing off recurring characters), but this may trigger the big, climactic showdowns. Especially since Haibara is still nearby.

End of my binge reading for 4 days, gonna marinate the future chapters for maybe, years? Lol.

Anyway, I almost had a heart attack in this case. Rum and camel? Idk, but I have a hunch that this will be the spark for the final arc (just hunch) because i don't think gosho will continue up until 2000+ chapters, unless he already planned the remaining cases even after his death. Welp, even the readers didn't know either they will d*e first or gosho sensei.

But kudos to camel for his ability to show his pride as a fbi agent. Although, going jogging around city while showing his face like that will became a mistake for example this case.

I guess in hindsight, Camel being able to solve the rest on his own provided Conan with a pretty good alibi of sorts. Camel should certainly be more careful though. After faking his own death, he probably shouldn't just show his face in public like that, at least hide it with a mask or so.
