Might be wrong, but I guess Conan might be suggesting the cleaning bucket. That would be taken with the cleaner so a way to hide it and come back for it later maybe? Not sure that explains how there was no blood on anyone though, so there would be still more mystery to solve, if thats the case.

I think the ring is in the one lady's hair bun. Pretty easy to do actually especially with the amount of hair she has. I bet I could even hide one in the tiny bun I can make with my hair

It's probably actually in the mud bath, since the policewomen said they can't really search properly without draining the mud. Chihaya's brother said something about a goldfish, right? And it looks like it happened when they were still in the festival. In Japanese festivals you usually get goldfish in a plastic bag like this:

Well, as it happens, there is a way to use plastic bags filled with water as some kind of looking glass to look for stuff in mud (see this article). So the person who did it is probably the one who was in the bath. Also she has a plastic bag for her underwear, so she might be planning to use that to search the ring again with the aforementioned method, but not sure if that's really anything. Her being the closest to the mud baths is already suspicious enough.

Good call! That's probably exactly it. Looking back at the last chapter, she was the one who said "It made me slightly want to kill you" (which is one of the weirdest things you can ever say), and she was also the first to volunteer to search a specific location. I also found the fact she was inside the bath when Chihaya arrived to be pretty odd. Even if she was actively searching for the ring, something about that whole interaction—her being in the bath, then specifically asking about her undergarments—felt weird. It must have been specifically to have a reason to show off the bag to readers as a clue.

Totally unrelated: I really like the designs of all the one-off female officers in this chapter. Something about them just feels refreshing...?

That was what I thought too. Like she didn't even look like she was searching, she just looks like she was relaxing in the bath, and that really flagged as something that looks weird. If she'd been really feeling around for it in the bat, you'd think she'd be like hunched over and moving around more. I guess that'd be something that will be asked in the reveal later.
