Liked my theory better. It's unlikely all those people combed the mud bath and never felt the ring. That mud is fine silt mud.
I mean I grew up on a marsh and the stuff you could feel in that wild mud. Family has had to find boat keys by feel at the bottom of the river 12+ feet down. Gosho gets too into the gimmick and doesn't think of the methods outside it.

This chapter is flashbacking to a scene that happened in the same chapter lmao. Could've used the panels for something more important.

Good job murdering her, now the guy will surely fall in love with you again. Murder is the more logical solution over exposing the victim's manipulation after all.

The gall on Chihaya lecturing the murderer regarding the proper way to confess. As if she's never a high school girl or something. And she doesn't have anything to say regarding the way-worse thing the victim did?

how is the culprit (who was a teen at the time) at fault for trusting someone she thought was a friend, when the victim fucked over both her and the widower from getting hypnotically together?

like i get what chihaya was trying to say and shes just projecting but the "my friend thinks you're cute" tactic isnt something be lectured about, esp when literal emotional manipulation is at play.

if this was literally any other type of case they would've 100% gotten together.
tbh case would've been better if the husband was active character instead of a prop device for the plot.

I mean that's kinda the thing though, she didn't murder her based on logical solution but instead of her emotional solution.

But yeah, this is lowkey forced. It would've made sense if it was in a bog or muddy grass in a campsite or something.
In a bath like I feel like the cops would've found the ring. How thick can that mud layer possibly be?
