I really do want them back together as their feelings are mutual. But clearly there is another issue that's stopping them, especially with Mouri as he seems to me as if he is intentionally playing this pervert act to keep her away (maybe guilt) but is conflicted cause he still loves her. Though I do believe he definitely is a bit degenerate, it seems a bit forced when he does it in front of her

Unique murder weapon. You don't see animals being used as a weapon in murder cases often.

There's one early anime only case that I remember when the culprit condition their dog to pounce on the victim when the dog heard certain noises within the house. Very creative case.

Overall, yeah it's hard to be a Kogoro x Eri fan. It's always one step forward, two steps back whenever they encounter each other. You hope Kogoro will change his old ways but usually he never does at the worst moments when she's around to witness it.
