I don’t actually know where the plot is going, but if this really is a different person and they’re gonna build their relationship anew based on this fact — it would be amazing. We’ve seen many stories of reincarnation when one person can’t remember anything and then suddenly can, but it would be so much more interesting to actually see demon lord let go of his beloved and accept the reality of him being gone. It’s hella hard, but it’s a great character development tool, so I personally am rooting for this outcome.

I agree 100% @Blue_comet I think it will be a great twist on the old stereotypical reincarnation love story if the original love interest truly is gone, and the MC finds love again with this new person.
