Really, this mangaka..... Almost every time there's a woman in his stories, she ends up totally naked, raped, penetrated by something phallic, killed or whatever she does is for the sake of a man.
And don't say "it's the 90s, what do you expect" because even then, you could found mangaka who treat their female characters with more respect.

I both love and hate Go Nagai's work and this might be the one I both love and hate the most. I pushed through the inexcusable amount of rape because the story was gripping and I wanted to see a resolution to the main character's arc. Devilman is one of my favourite books of all time and this genderswapped premise had so much potential. But all that begrudged goodwill went out the window with the ending. Fuck this.
