Seeking editors to help re-do the scans with HQ scans. We have permission and text files for the original translations from the translator and I would be buying and scanning the books. We could really use a cleaner and typesetter for this series. PM me.

V-Tamer 01 is a very nostalgic manga for me. I was really into Digimon as a kid, and every few years I get an itch to get back into the series. Sometimes it's the games, the anime, the movies (X-Evolution is also really good), and, of course, this manga. While not the greatest thing ever, I think it stands as a good work both as a Digimon property, and as a manga in its own right. Sure some stuff might go over your head if you aren't an uber-fan of the franchise, but the straightforward plot, the humor, the focus on two characters and their teamwork instead of an ensemble cast's, and the reasonably clever fights make it really good. Yeah there's some shonen manga tropes and cliches from this era (both writing and artistically), but I think it makes it nostalgically dated, like Smash Mouth, instead of horribly dated, like frosted tips.

If you've never gotten into Digimon, and you're reading this to get a rough idea if it's worth your time to read 9 volumes, I'd say yes. You don't need that much prior knowledge of the series, just a love of late 90's and early 2000's manga cheese.
