Like, you just seem to be getting mad for the sake of it. Just calm down. My not wanting to read stories that glorify slavery has nothing to do with you or the sorts of manga you like, okay? We don't have to have the same opinions or tastes and you don't have to prove yourself "right."

so you didn't read what i said... i said 'you don't look like that type of person but i will say it any way' also i was not getting mad when writing this.

the reason why i said it was because the author of shield hero got many emails with death threats after some people started attacking his work for having slaves. and it's not just him that got the death threats, it was almost all popular works with slaves, after that group of people. And since then there have been threads popping up on reddit and mal (and a lot more sites) that shit on works with slaves, trying to make people hate those works.

I didn't realize this was by the same guy as Shield Hero. Hopefully there's no weird slavery stuff in this one and it can just be about fishing... (Well, fishing and the permadeath thing whenever that comes up.)

Could someone who's read the novel give some warnings in this regard? I'd rather drop it before I get invested. (Mentions of / the existence of slavery are fine, I just don't want the main character participating in it or for the story to constantly portray it in any sort of positive light.)

Dimension Wave is if shield hero actually had game balance, and the bullshit builds are extremely quirky with niche application.

Like this chapter, the only power boosts come from skipping crafting tiers and this gets disseminated to the rest of the players pretty quickly.

The latest novel translations kinda got stuck on a boat arc with unfortunately little interaction with the rest of the players, so I hope they don't stick to it too long.

Edit: I will also note that shield hero provided stat boosts to slaves, which is a pretty weird thing to have to justify a legendary shield providing and is also purposely used as an excuse to keep enslaving people.
