I was also thinking about eating the orcs but what if they just negotiate with them? I mean the best option would be to trade with them and make an alliance. I mean the leader seams to have some level of intelligence and if they cant they could also try stealing whatever the orcs are eating. The mission states make trade routes it is not specific to humans or to the old trade routes was it? Also maybe there is a reason why they are attacking other than just to pillage.
