@Randomizer They have some of the biggest problems with speaking other languages even close to fluently, or even mimicking their accents. It's surprising how hard it is to create a separate L and R sound, even after they study English and other Latin alphabet based languages.

It's as if they are not even trying to get pronouncination right, they are studying their own version of english.
In my school we've spent many upon many hours practicing our speech and accent. We watched and listened to dozens of excercises with actual british speakers.
And japanese students? From what I've learned, their education system only values speed and amount of memorized words.

From what I've seen so far of Asian countries like Japan, they really seem to really focus way too much on pure memorization and shit when it comes to studying. It doesn't seem like they really focus on the application of the stuff they learn and basically brute force everything with hardcore memorization.
