Just read some articles on that, and wanted to know what the intellectuals of the world think about this issue
I consider that to be more free choice than free will: you're free to choose whatever you want, but what you want to do is itself set in stone.Link the articles, or at least tell me where to read them. Here, I'll give you a serious answer.
I believe in free will and I believe in fate. Everything that has occurred has been predestined and nothing can change what has been set to stone. However, we do not know what fate lies ahead of us. And I don't believe in fortune telling. We can choose to believe in whatever we want, say whatever we want, and do whatever we want. No person feels that anything is forcing him to do anything. That is free will.
I live in quite a religious country so this issue has been discussed extensively in literature. After all, if God has already decreed our fate, why should one strive to do anything? To paraphrase while translating loosely: "Keep striving, for everyone will be helped to do that of which he was created for. So whoever will enter Paradise will be enabled to do the deeds of the people of Paradise, and whoever will enter Hell will be enabled to do the deeds of the people of Hell."
And I think that's quite a nice way to think about it regardless of if you believe in God or not.
The words of the prophets are written on the studio walls - concert halls.
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice
