As far as i can tell, Malagasy people doesn't believe in free will. They said that the god and the olders already made ours predestined path and you will follow it no matter what. So if you are poor then you will be poor for the rest of your life and if you are the descendants of a king, you will be a king someday.
But I personally think that free will exist. Everyone has the choice to change their path, whenever, whatever but you always need to prepare for the consequences of your choices.
Sure... but there are times where you can't make a choice right?
We still have it, it is just that in some cases, the consequences of our actions cannot be predicted so that's why people tends to not take actions, because they are scared of what can happen.
Even not taking a choice is already making a choice, just need to accept the consequences that goes along with it.
Even the bible said that we can enjoy our lives but keeping in mind that we will always die in some way or another.
The more I think about it, more i think that the existence of free will depends on whoever beliefs but I am sure that people would never believe in free will in the future. People tends to not accept the consequences of their actions so they internally accept that free will doesn't exist to fill the gap in their consciousness.
