Whatever's on top of the stack - currently listening all the way through the classical music collection of about 3000 releases. But if I'm not already listening when I start reading, it's not like I'm making the decision to start listening to something. Prefer instrumental works while reading.

I don't usually do that. If it's a song that I'm not familiar with, it's very hard for me to read while listening to it. If I'm pretty familiar with the song, however, it can be doable

I do the same!! And for some reason if I listen to a song while reading the manga my brain would connect the song with the manga and every time I would listen to the song again I'll be reminded of that certain chapter of the manga the song was being played on!!!

if I love one specific song, I'll repeat it in one-loop for even an hour or more

I'm that lunatic who read manga while listening to music and when one of my favorite music on playing, I'mma go up from my chair and dance to it. and after that, continue to read again~

I listen to music when I'm working and even when I ride my bike. I listen to music most of the time. and I think I don't listen to music when I asleep~

Tbh i really don't pay any attention to genre, and i don't think it's a good way to express my music taste.

When i play league of legends i listen to runescape's & Chrono trigger's music on repeat mainly because they have this happy silly sound to them. Which instantly shields me from the mental dmg league inflicts.

I have 2 main playlists one with high energy and one with a more peaceful melancholy. I listen depending on my mood.

When reading, do you prefer vocals or instrumentals?

Instrumentals for any task that requires some focus. If you have vocals it's like someone constantly trying to speak to you distracting you rather than helping you focus or put you in the right mood. Funnily enough though if i can't understand the language this effect is nullified.

Overall i kind of dislike vocals. With them a lot of the songs say, okay this song is about this specific thing i'm singing about and that semi ruins it for me if i want to listen to it for some other mood. + A lot of the time when i listen to music i'm doing something.

Often times, yeah. When I was reading Mikadono Sisters I usually put Hot Tea by half•alive. Really enhanced the experience.

I'm only listening to music when reading manga if I was already listening to something before hand. Most of the time I'm not listening to anything, or have ear plugs to drown outside noise to focus on my enjoyment.
