Dont think i've ever really had any canned food but i'd expect it be easier to get good fish in JP for cheap lol

we have natural disasters and it’s a good practice to prepare emergency food supplies and periodically update them. its great to stock stuff like this so you can get some proper nutrition during disaster time if arise. fresh fish is indeed cheaper than meat in japan though. besides canned tuna and spicy dace, i myself am not a fan of these kind of canned fish tbh, but canned kabayaki is actually pretty good too. i would rather stock those.

LOL yeah i think my bro's had some canned soups but other than stocking ahead i'm not sure if we really have too many can openers, well not an electric one at least, my dad has like a metal fulcrum one for like beer/glass soda bottles but i bet some kinda 'doomsday prepper vlog'/style hideout a JP yter would make would look cool

And ppl always still buying using spam too like for korean army stew/ramen and such/spam musubi (slightly salty but yeah)

A lot of JP homes have a, i wouldn't say nook, but like a hole in the floor to store those emergency rations. also, in japan, the canned goods all have ring pulls. who the hell gonna look for a can opener during emergencies? I live in an apartment so those don't come with those emergency holes like the homes where you can store it. the council will tell you to keep them all in an emergency bag (they always give an easy to follow list) and store it in some place where it is easier to reach like in the closet. you also need to store enough for a minimum 3 days but i got a week going and i cycle them every 3 months

Cool, other than henna ie (which was more of a thriller/horror), wonder how many manga there are about JP architecture, and yeah i have seen canned tabs for tuna and such, guess the can opener kinds is more for soup or so

kinda supernatural as well, but sorta architecture-y also. wiped by the purge, but findable elsewhere.

Man I really want to try this type of canned mackerel.... but the canned fish that's easy to get is really different in america. I live in the mountains, so we do this type of stocking for emergencies too.But it's mostly tuna (lmao).

i wouldn't recommend it. it's very FISHY... unless you're into that sorta thing... it legitly smell and taste like cat food =.= the miso one might be slightly better as it covers a little the fishy smell, but its still nasty... i do recommend the kabayaki (grilled eel kabayaki sauce) i mentioned above if you're keen to try and can find it. maybe online japanese/asian grocers?
