I'm also just not sure Vee is Reiji, and the dead toddler from the intro needs to come up in the story somehow. Implication of other kodokus between Reiji's and now (where they'd eat a toddler)? Maybe Vee was in one? Unless he is just Reiji, idk. Kinda hoping it wouldn't just reveal that and kill him right away but anything is possible.
Maybe Emi is Mari, the toddler is the baby seen in part 1 ending? or the baby at the end of part 1 is the dead baby and Emi is the mother (not Mari?)? We saw she supposedly lost a child, might come full circle.
