Yeah, it was an okay joke at the start but it begin to wear off. And with the of this chapter that tries to be darker than usual, it makes the "foot problem" even more odd.

Regarding the foot odor element, remember, this is what this entire silly manga was based off of -- a monster wouldn't eat the maiden sacrifice because her feet stank. Sensei brought it back last chapter because the manga had gotten away from that element. So he either resolves it now in a way that everyone moves forward (alive), or he ends the manga.

A silly manga based on this premise doesn't bother me (but after some time it became less and less funny). The problem comes when the manga tries to be more serious and put some rational logics into action. Rationality hasn't its place in this manga.
