Well, the series you linked was the reboot. Chronological order of how everything was published is:

Dokuro 2002 (This one, authored by Saruwatari & drawn by Hayashi Nobuyasu)
Dokuro oneshot (Last chapter of Dokuro v04)
Dokuro (Authored & dawn by Saruwatari Tetsuya)

I have a theory behind what happened, but I can't really say it without spoiling what happens in the volume. It's one of those things that the second you see it, you'll understand.

Anyway, it's nothing major and it's violent seinen. Let's have fun with this
