Yep, this chapter was giving me the feeling that the original personality didn't do what he was accused of, and instead was just an annoying/terrible person which made it easy to set him up.

I'm aiming more like the princess is plotting something... Is her that want him killed. And the girl with glasses said the world is based from a Otome Game but years later after the canon story... Typical in Isekai Into Otome Games the prince or princess in charge in some occasions are evil stupid and it's their parents that clean up their mess... I bet when the QUEEN knows about her daughter breaking up the engagement and assassination attempt she will going punish the princess.

We are discussing the right to rule the kingdom here. Furthermore, we still lack sufficient information regarding why he must die. As this matter cannot be taken lightly, the princess must assassinate him in secret.

Remember, this guy likely grew up while being able to at least partially mind read. And we've seen that a lot of these women aren't very nice people, often times have ulterior motives. Imagine a child already getting constantly confronted with this, would mess them up pretty well.

The maid who spilled hot tea on him? Might've been entirely intentional.

The attendant who "touched him" while helping him dress? Might have done so deliberately and potentially have certain thoughts he read and lashed out because of.

And we don't actually know whether he was the one who tried to poison the princess, but blaming it on him was convenient and a way to get rid of him. Especially with her already having a different husband lined up.
