You know one thing I always wonder about these ratio stories is how the hell the population survives. For a species to have a stable population at minimum they need to have a birth average of 2.2. For a population with this large of a gender ratio they would need a birth average of 100.2 meaning that every woman would need to give birth to a hundred children minimum for there to be a stable population. Any species with such large gender ratio would very quickly go extinct unless there is some unique strategy which allows them to make up for it.

That would be the case if the women were in the minority, but since the population is almost entirely women they only need to birth a bit more than one child on average. It's the men who would need to sire 100 kids each, which is significantly easier.

I’ve had a similar discussion in another manga, but we didn’t reach a conclusion. The ratio problem will only be a problem if we’re talking about a monogamous world. Because in a monogamous world, this would force women to have many children per woman. In this manga’s case, to keep the population going, we’re talking about having 100 kids per woman, which is obviously impossible.

But if we’re talking about a polygamous world, then it’s enough for women to have just one child, but the man would have to have 100 wives. Or the man could have 10 wives and all of them have 10 kids, which would be plausible.

A third possibility is this world being monogamous, but where some kind of disaster wiped out a large part of the men on the planet, whether through war, disease, or something like that.

In the end, I came to the conclusion that the best thing is to just turn your brain off at times like this and just enjoy the story without thinking too much about the details.

In the 1:39 manga, they basically force dudes to go and donor sperm. And women basically have in-vitro done to give birth.

They could maybe have 100 kids per woman, just that the moment they are able to check sex of the embryo they get rid off of the female ones, to fight for fixing the sexes ratio.

A porn few chapters story - had an law implemented where dudes were prohibited from basically masturbating - sperm was to precious - and that they only should finish inside. They basically have a "fucking anything that moves and consents" license - like dude goes to train, ask who wants to fuck - if they say we want - he fucks them right there on the spot and nobody pats an eye. Women thou need to be tested for fertility to get badges worn on necks to indicate that they "wanna have kids", badges they can take off if they feel like it - and those without them can't be asked to be fucked by dudes.

What I want to know is, what would happen in a world with ratios beyond then 1:39 one (so this one too) - if the ratio of dudes being ugly was like in real world - cause then you have like 99 women per 1 dude, but like 1 out of 10 would be the "top" 10%that women pin after on like dating apps, so would it be 9999 women per 1 dude, and 9 still angry dudes they cant pull anything, or will women go after "uggos" to have a chance to get preggo? Or what in the other way around - what if dudes are supposed to preggo all the women, but they get gag reflexes while looking at some of them, will they get forced to fuck them anyway - or the sperm donor + in-vitro would be evoked then?

Part this manga has kinda answers to the question above - its a game world - so like most manga/anime magic works there and like all girls are pretty, dudes MC included probably end up handsome to a degree too.

There are laws about how much sperm you can donate because past a certain point there's a risk that children born of your donated sperm might meet and fall in love and accidentally lead to inbreeding.

In normal world sure, but in a 1:40+ world I don't think this will matter much? I mean if you don't have access to magic or science letting you make embryos out of two eggs and thus make female only (or males with magic XD ) kids between two moms - in worlds with that big of a disparity in sexes - you would be forced to have many kids with many women.

Thou I wonder - if there will be a 1:X kinda world manga/story where that infertility issue would be used as a "world is on its path to death" problem requiring some drama/battling to solve, instead of just enormous often brainless harems.

You can use polygamous animals to get an idea of how it would work. Lions and wildebeest, for example, one male dominates several females. What happens in these cases is that the “inferior” males, who can’t beat the dominant ones, simply don’t have babies. And in the case of lions, there’s also the drastic situation where when a male takes over a territory, he just kills the cubs of the defeated male. So if we try to think about mangas like this one in a logical way, there would have to be some kind of “competition” in the story, where “ugly” or “weak” men can’t form a harem, or have very few women in it.

Out of those 100 men, 99 would have to die, either through some kind of fight to decide who gets the harem, or by being expelled from the group and, once left unprotected, they would end up dying naturally, or even like what happens with lions, when a male takes over a harem, he kills the babies that belonged to the previous male. So basically, only the dominant man would be able to have a harem with 99 women. The other 99 men would end up dying one way or another. That’s how it works with lions (of course, not in a 99:1 ratio, which is really exaggerated).

Another possibility would be some kind of DNA change where more women are naturally born than men. But that doesn’t happen among mammals, which makes this possibility pretty unlikely.

I mean if there is 1 guy for 100 women, but 9 of 10 guys are "losers" so that women prefer that 1 "chad" guy. It would mean 1k women would be his. And hence why the whole wondering on my part if it would be like that or some other stuff would happen that would "force" the 100:1 ratio - just "ugly" girls in 100 girls harems with ugly guys, or something.
