Somehow I doubt drinking that kid's urine is the only method, but likely picked as it's a humiliating treatment. Kind of curious though, where did the kid come from, and what happens to him after the Elder's condition improves? Or is it the Elder will foolishly continue cultivating that self-harming technique and keep drinking the kid's urine to stay healthy? In any case, seems like the world has the cultivating template of might makes right, rules are optional and to protect the strong while chaining the weak down, and decisions are snap judgements based on emotion without bothering to find out facts. Hopefully the MC only bullies other bullies and makes sure to honor and protect his mother. Surprised hasn't considered that black hole isn't a part of or glitch in the technique and therefore will always appear.
