I get that MD is getting money from NamiComi for pushing their content but I wish they would stop blatantly skewing the review scores. This series only has 1 star and 6 star ratings but shows up as 8.04.

I would rather the site get more of those sketchy mobile game ads than see these comics pushed to the front page constantly. It takes away genuine discovery from other series that deserve it.

They've given me a 1 year temp mute before when they first started pushing this objective slop to the front page. I could really care less, especially when there's an objectively better alternative now that's eating their lunch.

Idk why the MD team still thinks they'll become the next Crunchyroll, the Japanese publishers will never let them go legit and no major western investor, publisher or media corporation will ever buy the website due to all the legal headaches. Pushing NamiComi content is just alienating their existing user base.

And almost everything I've said for MD goes for NC as well. It's a conglomerate of the lowest tier Ao3 writers that are so bad they can't manage to create content interesting enough to be independent or for an existing publisher to pick up. Anyone on there that thinks it's the ground floor for making it big is delusional.

its cause they insist on putting Korean and Chinese comics here, thats usually why pirate sites get taken down, not because of manga copyright but Manhua and such

Exactly, Korean and Chinese publishers are even more aggressive at times. Just a bad idea to promote those.
