Don't think it is useful though. The wast majority of manga with slavery is about a man slavering to some "slave" like it is his god, parent, spouse and child, all in one person. See no slavery here. Except "reverse slavery".
I always can't help but fucking think about why all these slavery stories don't just have the protag free their slaves. It's always "Ah I want to stay your slave because you treated me nicely and it shows I want your dick" versus "You freed me so I'm going to stand by your side."
This at least seems it mmmmmiiiight? Like, it's depressing to think, but if he frees her for whatever reason it'll be REVOLUTIONARY by manga standards.
It really depends on the settings I guess. Some people really do have slavery mentality to the level they can't be dependent on their own.
And if you're a servant, moving to better boss with better wage and benefits is already nice.
I just think of this kind of manga as illegal adoption, lol.
@Dr-Game Nice image, but for some reason the overwhelming majority of slave merchants in isekai stories tend to have top hats, so turban is pretty rare...
