I don't know jackshit about the novel, but I really don't like how Hanamitsuji just barges in to Nanamura (MC) and Hoshigasaki's meeting, and then talk smack to about him. It's making me not believing her "saving him from being a lone wolf" schtick. Plus, kinda selfish of her to save him, even though he kind of rejected her help. I know that sounds kind of wrong, but still.

Feel free to correct me if I misunderstood anything, tho.

For a manga tagged as "Romcom", I don't see any romance. At all.

The development is kind of slow and stretched because the mangaka opted to keep most of the LN content intact. I think some parts can definitely be skipped over, but the end of Vol.1 (LN) is close. Just one more chapter to finish up Ch.3 (LN) and we'll be at the trip arc.

This is way too much verbal abuse for me. Fml is super toxic and blonde gyaru is not great either (she was looking down on him and talking smack for no reason until he saved her). I dont mind the "tsundere" act as long as it doesnt go from normal banter to straight up personal abuse. Hopefully we see some character development later, and maybe an apology would help.

It appears she is really liked in school, so I guess only the guy gets to enjoy being treated like garbage.

These comments are interesting. I read this for the first time yesterday and my feelings are very similar to others. It started out strong and I was laughing out loud at the dialogue but wholly crap I started to get real pains inside reading more chapters and I couldn’t really pinpoint why. Like it’s really painful I’m not a fun way. Like something feels really messed up in my gut. It’s slowly got a tiny bit better later when the blonde gal warmed up to the MC (the repeated disgusting out of nowhere was painful before that). But I think it’s the FeMC. Like she’s a cute design and has potential. if she likes him fine then say it and explain it. But right now it feels like she is the meanest of all. She claims she wants to help but she does almost nothing to actually help and wants to practically hide that she knows him.

Looking at the thousand copy-paste isekai manga on Mangadex, most of them based on light novels, I find the dude's claim realistic, that he's got no passion for writing, he just wants some fame by pleasing the audience (basically writing exactly what the audience wants to see), and naturally he wants to enjoy the royalties.

While I appreciate they went the he can't write for shite since how can you write a story about communication when your a perpetual loner. This chapter kinda feels like it's mostly time fill then any kind of progression.

I did like the 1st year joke though, top quality joke.

Well, in fact you can. But would feel different from a person that did had those experiences.
As someone that was somewhat a loner in high school (and in middle school too, anyway...) I spent most of my free time in school observing other people, so you can learn about how people interact using this.

well, the FMC is being mean. I agree with that. But it's not exactly as the MC treat most people well when interacting with them.
Ok, he does all those self sacrifice cliche, but as an example when he sees the FMC he says something like "why you are here" with a angry face. And he does it from day one.
You can see the same when the Class president talked to him and he ditched her in a similar fashion. He is passive aggressive.

Right?!? Also the Main heroine is clearly interested in him romantically (For some reason, can't be just cause he saved her) yet she acts almost abusive levels to him and is suprised pikachu'd that he's not thinking of her in anyway other then a bother.

I mean is she really acting surprised that he's not thinking of her romantically? At this point in the story any romance between them has only been foreshadowed.
