While I appreciate they went the he can't write for shite since how can you write a story about communication when your a perpetual loner. This chapter kinda feels like it's mostly time fill then any kind of progression.

This series began fairly well, but now I just internally cringe as I read it.

Modern popular fiction is largely in the hands of people who hate aspirational heroes, so they have to turn them into jokes or replace them with protagonists who have significant character flaws.

Right?!? Also the Main heroine is clearly interested in him romantically (For some reason, can't be just cause he saved her) yet she acts almost abusive levels to him and is suprised pikachu'd that he's not thinking of her in anyway other then a bother.

Well, Hoshigasaki and Hinamatsuji gave their hoenst opinions. It's too boring. If a Romcom gets boring, then it's never going to take of. A Romcom needs shenanigans and antics to spice things up. Even real life can be exciting when this kind of stuff happens. I did find it funny that Hinamatsuji knows that this work is not a first year's work though.

Nanamura's mindset is accurate to how an author should be writing. Yes, it's good to write passionately. But writing solely to please yourself won't last. Your passion will burnout eventually. You need ways to be affirmed, whether by seeing people praise your stories, or knowing that you're making money off of it.

It's funny how he was pretty much forced into joining a group by Shiramime. Life is making sure he won't stay alone this time! Is he going to change for the better because of this? Let's hope so.

To be honest, this feels like it is trying to copy some of the success of Oregairu by introducing a pessimistic, self-deprecating MC while at the same time getting a bit of steam from time-traveling shenanigans. Like everyone else points out, it started strong but it surely getting closer to where the Axe wielders live. And since there is no Volume 3, you can hear some axes getting sharped as you read this.

I remember not disliking this but self deprecating and MC SUCKS LOL jokes are getting honestly too stale and boring really fast, and short haired girl is getting more annoying each chapter, i feel she is supposed to be snarky like yukino to a self deprecating mc loser like hachiman but they are like heaven and earth, I never found yukino annoying but yukino didn't brute force herself into mcs life and then proceeded to be really mean and bully mc in every conversation they have and keep reminding him he is a loner and a loser and lets not get into whole time nonsense and why she likes him that's another whole can of worms

It's what I don't get, she and the MC are supposed to end up together but all I feel is they definitely shouldn't. She's too toxic and if they be like "Well she acted like that to get teh MC to change" doesn't make her toxic behaviour better as there are other ways to do it other then demeaning the MC every turn of the page.

Yes take a look at the class president in this ch she is meddling but I dont mind it one bit there is a way not to be toxic and be friends even otaku gyaru is better even tho she is ignoring mc but i understand where she is coming from, point no need to be mean and toxic

I actually like the fact Gyaru is just friends and clearly just excited to have a friend that shares her interest. It's pretty neato and yeah she's non-toxic, I'd honestly rather her or class pres end up with MC.

The family restaurant scene was mildly interesting at best, but I can't help but feel it was one joke stretched out to fill way more than half of the chapter. There really wasn't much substance in it that's relevant in the grand scheme of things. Maybe it was just an excuse to show off Sora and Ruri in casual clothing and make a bunch of repetitive jabs at Hodaka's expense.

The weird thing is that the title for the chapter itself is all about forming groups for the school trip, so it was strange seeing a famires gag scene take over like 2/3 of the chapter, and it was practically disconnected from the last 7 pages actually about forming a group with the class prez.

MC should just write isekais if he wants praise and validation. It seems to work out swimmingly for the 90% of other LN authors who perpetually copy one another. But hey, like the saying goes, nothing is truly original anymore, and the same can be said about the direction this manga is currently going in.

I still like MC and all the other girls (with Hinamatsuji probably being my favorite), but I'm gradually starting to share some of the sentiments expressed here.

The development is kind of slow and stretched because the mangaka opted to keep most of the LN content intact. I think some parts can definitely be skipped over, but the end of Vol.1 (LN) is close. Just one more chapter to finish up Ch.3 (LN) and we'll be at the trip arc.

You know, for the kind of premise that it is, and the thousand ways you could potentially develop it... this manga sure has a huge "nothing" feel to it, seriously.

It wouldn't surprise me if it ends being axed, after all, the Vol 1 sales, despite the strong reviews, seems to be on the low side of things.

This is way too much verbal abuse for me. Fml is super toxic and blonde gyaru is not great either (she was looking down on him and talking smack for no reason until he saved her). I dont mind the "tsundere" act as long as it doesnt go from normal banter to straight up personal abuse. Hopefully we see some character development later, and maybe an apology would help.
