Well the insecurity of our retarded MC stands UNTIL he and Kano go to the school festival (which is at the literal end of the whole arc), now, how it goes is like this: MC and Kano goes to a park to have a proper date after Kano insisted it, MC's whiny bitch of a brother goes with Suzuno, when MC's whiny bitch of a brother sees Kano with the MC, he gets livid, drops Suzuno faster than a MTG mono blue player throwing a Counterspell and goes to whine to MC for being there and declares to Kano which she tells him that there is no way she would ever love hin because first, he is a whiny bitch and a coward because he despite having a crush on Kano since the beginning, unlike the MC he never stood for her (which MC will do again when he and Kano go to the cinema) and second, he just goes and plays with girls feelings leaving them on hold, and even his parents are 24/7 comparing the MC to him (he never told anyone even to his family that he liked Kano) and that's the reason MC suffered (as we saw in this chapter, she knows MC had a crush on Suzuno, but unfortunately and as Kano herself stated in one chapter, didn't expext Suzuno to be that shallow of girl to not pay attention to someone who is willing to throw hands even if le loses for those he loves like the MC, that being said, she doesn't hates Suzuno, in fact she loves her, she is just dissapointed that Suzuno fell for someone as shitty as the MC's brother)... Also the imbecile interfered with the date of her and the MC and she was really pissed if not for the MC being there, she would had break his arms (she is actually kinda goated on throwing hands because of her past experiences with bullying but behaves in front of MC because she wants him to look at her best side of her).



Now, the outcome of that date ends with, MC accepting Kano and finally moving on from the trash character that is Suzuno (trust me, her character is a detriment for the novel, actually the main reason the novel is a slog until THAT specific date is because the author wants to paint Suzuno as a tragic heroine), MC's brother being unable to take an L and after a chapter about his pov from the events until that day (and that also had the intention of painting MC's brother as a good guy and no, I'm not joking, the author put an endnote in that specific chapter justifying MC's brother shitty behavior and after the arc which MC and Kano go to Osaka to visit his grandparents (these are actual goats because they knew the kind of shit MC's direct family is) and Kano literally presents herself with MC's family name (MC accepts that in the long run).



Good thing is, MC finally opened his eyes, MC's brother mental stability plummeted, Suzuno realized that was the MC who actually helped Kano because she was to idiot to ask that to Kano of all people and instead fell for the perfect guy acy of MC's brother (yeah, an act, dude was so tilted that MC had the balls to help Kano thay he developed a MASSIVE inferiority complex, that's why he smooth talked Suzuno making her fall for him despite knowing MC had a crush on her) and her neurons made synapsis and said "wait... I liked MC after all" when MC and Kano already did everything except the pump action and started their relationship, unfortunately for her, MC moved on, but since he is a good guy at heart and still thinks Suzuno loves MC's brother, he acts as a wingman for her telling her that whiny mc'bitch catched a cold and asked for her to take care of him... which is funny because she snapped after said whiny mc'bitch dumped her and went straight to confess to Kano(the novel is in hiatus since then).



And regarding Kano, she is the sole reason the plot advances, and she already had completed almost all of her objectives (almost because she doesn't hide the fact that she wants MC to take all of her firsts including el mete saca).



And MC finally escaped the matrix and actually started to focus on his future with Kano... unfortunately the damned author left the novel on hiatus... although at this point I think it's dropped and will never return like the one with the ex-childhood friend that the MC calls pig[/SPOILER
