I feel like you see this often in shonen manga with decent character development. Otherwise, you would end up with superficial, one-note characters.

Super excited to see what Tamon is about, what with his tiger symbolization and the good old tiger and dragon myth. I believe Kenji/Genji will clutch up and get better over time. Just not his chance to shine yet... lol.

Wish we could see all their takes and storyboards :< a chapter dedicated to the analyses of each hehe.
