Great chapter! Avan and Matoriv continue being cool! I really like the pervertness of Matoriv is toned down heavily and they focus more on his characterization and how to make him cool. I like that from this manga.

I agree! They did have some pervy moments when he first met Leira, but they've kept it to a minimum after that.

And I really like the trick they pulled with whoosh and the cloak. Matoriv, like Popp, is supposed to be incredibly clever and able to come up with very good strategies very quickly on the battlefield. I feel like this chapter really exemplifies that.

Yeah, that's a simple but clever trick. The way he quickly come up with it and effectively execute it really shows his experience.
