Enomoto is using the typical Japanese/Korean dorama tropes as a backdrop for Yuuki’s and Ban’s love story. whilst those sound cliche - and they are - they are not the story itself, just the scenario on which the story develops. Yes, there are wild coincidences and misunderstandings, which are typical of tv dramas, but the characters’ development and their relationship development is what is different. Recognising these tropes being used as the backdrop is actually part of the fun for me. Once you see these tropes for what they are, just references to a theme (the series is after all themed on stuff happening as if life was a TV drama), you start seeing how clever is Enomoto manipulating those as support points for the main story.

I obviously love the series and I’d love for more people to see it for what it is.

I’m really looking forward to seeing where this series goes, I love the dynamic they have.

I hope they eventually get out of the “testing relationship” situation to move onto something a bit more real, but I think that it’s likely the series focus so it’ll take awhile.

Honestly I think I’dve preferred less drama and the series only being about the two of them without others just as I feel that the others being there are holding them back most of the time.

We’re 7 chapters behind, since we’ve picked up the series, and will remain 7 chapters behind for the foreseeable future. The series is published weekly, but with breaks, we are able to keep pushing one chapter every 10 days and not fall even more behind. That allows us to have a more flexible production schedule (we’re all hobbyists, after all), whilst still having a fixed publishing interval, allowing those who are following the series to know when to expect a new chapter.

Whilst I’d love to catch up with raws, we don’t really have the time to do it without putting some strain on the team.

If you think 1 "all pays off in the end" or "spicy" chapter makes up for the 5 previous chapters where random drama literally appears out of nowhere, then we will never agree. I'm not so easily pleased.

The story literally started with a spicy double page and an unrealistic plot, so that's kinda late to point out imo, but to each their own I guess.
