Aaaaand now it's just slice-of-life with casual alien murder. It could have been so much more. So sadge.

The main dude calls nomamoto unlikable, and I agree with him. I don’t really wanna read about her at all. This author keeps making very weird choices like alienating the audience from its mc. But I guess mission accomplished?

tbh, its like the other guy said, for now its about the curiosity of whats going to happen

There's something off about the aliens. Are they indeed bad? Are they good? Nomamoto isnt competely apathetic (besides her being like that..), and there's something more on her too side too.

a bit like chinsawman. I didnt understand a bunch in there lol. for now, lets see how it goes

This manga really needs to:
  • Make their characters more appealing. Light was a mass murderer but people wanted to see him succeed. Here no one gaf either way.
  • Introduce a clear opposing force.
  • Do a lot more world building about the role of aliens in society. The ones we've met all occupy normal jobs and at most are assholes. Human seem irrationally pro aliens but no systemic privileges have been shown

Decent chapter. Nothing speak friendship like letting out your honest feeling and understand each other better.

Not gonna lie, this manga feel surprisingly humane. I may say that it has some kind of "no country for old men" vibe of raw humanity and on how uncanny are the interactions because unlike other stories it really mimics the whims and mood changes some very mentally troubled people have on real life among other things.

I can get why stuff like the dialogue can feel "weird" or "bad" or like another user says "there's no appeal to the characters" or "there are no clear enemies" due to being close aproximations on how on reality criminals or people who do really bad things might interact specially if they are conditioned to working together due to having no better alternative that they can see (though they have always the choice of doing stuff differently but each sets the path they want to go by no matter if it can be regretful or not.)

What an odd manga. The plot is on such a slow burn that it's unclear if it's going anywhere at all. It came out swinging with grand ideas about genociding all aliens and introducing an alien hunting organization, but since then it's just the characters going back and forth about their motivations and distrust toward each other with the occasional alien murder thrown in as busywork. The stakes were raised and then immediately dropped.

I'm still inclined to keep reading, but this feels directionless.

Also making the alien faces unreadable but make them act like the japanese stereotype of foreigner is not working either.

I'm not saying he should flat out copy Asano Inio, but he clearly needs to step up the psychology of the doodle aliens if he wants to make them more like proper living beings with motivations and emotions the reader can understand instead making them of a vessel of hatred because their only quality is being assholes in general.

As shown in the first chapter, they get new housing built solely for them and free parking, and also don't seem to be punished for crimes they commit. And if Iglaskar's words can be trusted as fact, Senoo City's government is carrying out initiatives to attract more aliens, which will probably mean exclusive benefits.

I do agree that there needs to be more worldbuilding, but I think it's pretty clearly shown that the aliens are favoured by the powers that be.
