Hope: Kitsch survives, Lily dies, four eyes gets yeeted head-first off the building, Nomamoto shows up and eats Lily (and probably Kitsch's hand).
Reality: Gun does nothing to Lily, Kitsch dies, four eyes gets up and has some stupid monologue, and the two leave Kitami to being arrested for murdering an alien or something.

The good guys just never win in this series, and we've got no way to tell if we're actually nearing the end or not, so the reality is far too strong here. Either way, Kitsch is the best alien hands down. Some can be good, after all.

This comic's a bit of a hot mess at the moment, but that ending sequence was actually really cool. If this manga was nothing but cool action sequences and Nomamoto being a misanthropic gremlin it really would've been peak.
