I'd like for Lily𝅘𝅥𝅮 to didn't do it though; and better yet if he was really trying to be nice, so the story has more things going. If it turns out he's just a liar, the story will be very flat.

And here we have the first unambiguous act of kindness from an alien. If the aliens were inherently assholes, I doubt Lily♪ would have let Kitami off with just an early dismissal. Now the question is whether he's an exception to the rule or not.

Or, I just thought, his "kindness" could be an extension of his ego. He praises himself a lot.
