.... So a death loop without death.... of the same repeating cycle with minimal changes until the MC starts to 'crack and shatter'.... yeah I may have had an experience like that before, in my case it was a double up of everyday, but it was the same monotonus shit for half a year until you collapse or something major changes to get you away from the loop. Even if you realize what's happening, it's still hard to actually recognize that this isn't normal.
If I was the director, I'd be asking alot of questions, if they tried moving on, I'd bring back the conversation cause I want to understand the vision, and I'd say how I see it to see if we are on a similar page.... in this case I'd ask "Do you want it as an ad, a trailer, a small short, an episode, or a hint sprinkled throughout the series until the 'reveal'?" before continuing the convo cause some are done differently than others
