Technically the author announced that chapter 44 is the “final chapter”. But, for volume 13 (the last volume), there are still about 50 pages left (the average length of 1 chapter) and the author also said that there will be a side chapter/epilogue or side chapters (not sure, but still it’s about 50 pages). Overall there’s been a lot of confusing info given by the author, like initially she didn’t call chapter 44 the final chapter but later she did. So there are still some uncertainties, but basically, that was the ending for the main story, there is about 1 chapter left and it might or might not give us a clearer conclusion. I also think this open ending is too vague so I hope there will be a more conclusive and “proper ending” later. Though just based on what we have right now, I’d say this chapter’s ending suggests she will eventually end up with Natsuo-sensei. Because it appears she intentionally chose to do her internship at his school to meet him again, whereas before the time skip she stated that she wanted to part from him for good, that it was gonna be the last time they see one another yet now she’s here. To just come back after putting an end to their relationship and not have a specific intention would be too cruel, so I guess it implies she came back because now she’s ready to be with him.

Yikes. Just when I thought she's going to put all this behind her and move on to get a good ending.... It doesn't make sense.

Majority of the chapter she's saying she's moving on but then the end is like complete 180°. Why make her do all that spiel then if she's going to end up with sensei anyway? I genuinely thought after the first time skip, her character was finally more mature and capable with a stable life and friends and no toxic men but then author had to go and add another time skip with her meeting sensei again??

Squashed all that character development in a few pages tbh.

Now I know why the title is "Dramatic Irony" indeed...

an annoying story where almost all characters are annoying

is the black haired dude's inlove with him that's why he's so easily frustrated by the mc? or is he just projecting? cause wtf

her ending up with the teacher as a finale could've made this manga a bit better soooo many chapters ago but noooo

they just had to make a childhood friend route first to double down into the regression that was so obvious and deliberately written from the start

and now a timeskip happens and we're to assume the characters, more so the mc, developed behind the scenes lmao just how did this manga get enough sales to reach 40+ chapters and 10+ volumes

Honestly till now I don't understand why that character was even added. If really just seemed like another male character added to stir up trouble for the FL. He was just creating unnecessary problems for sh*ts n giggles.

Did we really need 2 time skips? I feel like instead of her meeting with sensei in the first time skip, they could have exchanged letters or something and then it would have kinda made sense that she showed up at his school in the next time skip. Them meeting after so many years would have been much more impactful. This just gives like "oh she's back again" vibes.

Atp I'm just glad this is done. Not going to rate it more than a 4-5 tbh.

I think Nono was needed as an ally for Chihiro/ someone who care about his feelings and happiness, because Risa had friends and sensei but Chihiro was really alone for a part of the story.
Regarding their close relationship, actually mangaka was very probably doing BL manga before (according to japan forum etc), looks like she had fun adding some BL-like relationship
