I imagine her fighting style involves slowly damaging or severing a mages ability to properly control or channel their mana and then as the fight drags on they slowly die from it. kind of like poisoning someone at the start of the fight so their own adrenaline pumps the poison through their blood faster.

Logically speaking if you have a student whose first mission is to destroy or damage the actual mana veins (which we've seen are very sensitive and able to be ruined permanently), and she just went and attacked someone? I think the kingdom would lock her down. Completely destroying students and mages futures and ability to survive because she likes to fight would be so badly written.
