To protect him. If his secret came out, the ones like her that dont love him would come to kill him.
Yeah and the mc already made it clear he didn't want to live a public life or have his talent come out. I'm honestly kinda against the progression of the story here since the mc's only goal in reincarnation was to live a quiet and loving life without losing everything to his talent and fame like in his last life.

It sucks that there's some calamity threatening the world and kingdom, but there always is. Also if they need to rely on someone with impossible talent and innate abilities that could steamroll the plot if they wanted to, then maybe they're just meant to die. I mean I get there was divine intervention but this was a lot of coincidences. One of my most hated attributes of isekai is the "I'm going to whisk someone away from their lives or won't let their soul rest after death to solve some problems in my world in a way that will make it so the people of my world can't solve their own problems because I can't be bothered to deal with it myself or empower or teach people of my world how to deal with it." And the reasoning is always BS. If the calamity is some dark God or apocalypse then you can freakin handle it yourself. It's worse than the setup where gods need to get heroes to go fight other gods for them. Like WTF it wouldn't disrupt the balance for you to deal with your own problems that should stay between gods.

I don't know I'm just torn between liking the Manga, because it's sometimes cool in fights and the ability to draw anything is brining back scribblenauts memories, but I want the MC to get the quiet life he deserves and only actually care about/like him and his close family particularly the elf for caring so much about his well being. The other characters I feel nothing for or hate and honestly couldn't care less about their "kingdom is in danger" problems. Like am I supposed to like a girl who got them nearly killed by being bullheaded and then after getting her life saved only kept the secret until it convenienced her interests to use him? There's an argument that those who have power/talent have a responsibility to use it, but I've never liked that belief. The MC has made his intentions clear, hasn't done anything wrong, and isn't exactly a member of the military or hero squadron. I don't enjoy continuing to see him guilted or forced into something he's against.

so while i whole heartedly agree with pretty much everything you said there i want to bring up some important points:

1) If the world ends due to the calamity then the MC doesn't get his peaceful life. He just dies knowing he could have done more to help.

2)
there are actually heroes in this world with super OP busted ass powers, and they aren't enough to stop this calamity.

3) Those aforementioned people that are as powerful if not more so than the maid literally hunt people like him, so he was never going to have a peaceful life, even with her help.

4) Unfortunately he was born to famous powerful people, so regardless of the princess he was gonna be drawn into the conflict any way. So I wouldn't be too harsh on her.

It has been 200 years since the last update. I don't remember anything about the characters or the plots anymore. Guess it's time to reread. Thank for the uploads though

Already forgot the plot at this point. Just drop it if you dont find time to do this title. Im sure a lot of others are interested in it but afraid to be rude and being flamed as sniper just cs you all keep trying to do it yourself among other titles you worked with. Im ungrateful? Nah fuck off when its way behind the raws already

He died from overwork, as ppl put him to work due to their expectations from his natural talents.
He reveals his secret to a princess or hero (don't remember which she was, but since hero is with him atm it must be the princess instead.. .but I thought it was a hero?) and demands her silence so he can live his life in peace.
At first need she spills the secret so someone shows up and drags him into immense danger.
And as soon as he doesn't die and instead shows his natural talents, the hero vows to put him to work. Probably until he's so exploited he dies.

...I sense a cycle
I had said it before, that princess is a damn traitor.
Yup

What a weird name for the chapter's title. Here I was thinking someone was going to die, and MC would revive them, but nope. It's just a poorly translated title.

Man, the waifu severed his mana veins?
i think it was after the kidnap event he was suffering in bed and elf waifu had to sever his mana veins cause he was going into like mana overload from using too much mana for his body which the only way to keep him alive was to sever his veins which worked out for him so he could then live a normal life

yea and the princess who is also hero (i think its a bloodline thing so there can be more than 1)from back then just was pretending to be a boy cause of some political attack doesn't even know the the MC veins are all busted up from saving he because she over stepped thinking she was the best only to get her ass kicked. which then in turn forces him to go fight the dragon cause knight lady doesn't believe the princess but threatens to jail cause he hid the fact he was skilled when he didnt want to be. so its basically just a bunch of shitty people treating MC like shit when all he wants is to be a shopkeeper honestly more annoying than most MC hiding powers stories out there cause he doesn't even get the choice to hide them

I still don't quite know Aria's position. Does she care about Akira or does she only care about her duty? Seeing how Akira here, and also during the cult incident, almost died with Aria doing nothing about it, I'm of the mind she doesn't truly care. She left Akira alive and only sealed his mana for her own reasons, but if he happens to die in an accident, then it was his fate. Perhaps she did see possible future use for Akira, if things become truly catastrophic in the war against the Odor, so she judged it better to leave him alive for now. However, it's nothing personal, so she won't go out of her way to make sure he will survive, despite being powerless due to her actions to seal his mana.

He died from overwork, as ppl put him to work due to their expectations from his natural talents.

What kind of interpretation is that? He was an arrogant bastard who cared for nothing but the fame and wealth his work brought him. He did work extremely long hours, but it was for his own ambition. He expected everyone under him to work like crazy as well, and didn't listen to any objections from them, firing them if they couldn't adapt. This led to his no friends situation. His girlfriend had enough and left. The realisation that he had achieved no happiness in his life through all that work and fame hit when he heard he has got a cancer and will live 10 years max. He lost it for good when talking to his mom, who was more concerned about his ability to keep feeding her gambling addiction than his impending death. When he lost it, he started speeding like crazy through the city, almost hitting random pedestrians. To avoid the collision, he ovesteered and hit an utility pole. Due to his high speed, he died instantly. The end.

Huh, you are correct. I went back and verified. I had entirely forgotten about that, and for some reason I thought I remembered several flashbacks to his past life where he decried how his talent/job and the expectations ppl had for him, led to his death by overwork.

That's partially correct, of course. Mangaka are tied to the publishers, plus he even had a movie made. So, all of those who also benefitted from his success kept expecting and demanding more from him. There was another flashback that showed specifically such a scene. However, before he got the cancer sentence, he was okay with it, since he had his own ambition and ample rewards. But the reason why he wanted to avoid being famous and too ambitious in this second life was because in the first life it didn't end up making him happy, in the end.
