Thanks for the mass release, but I knew it was going to end in a f*cking cliffhanger, especially when the MC is the one next to fight.

EDIT: I've read ahead, and to those who want to know what chapter this tournament arc is going to end...

It ends at chapter 52, MC fights 4 other nobles, the first 3 are a curbstomb, and the last seemingly a hard fight but MC has the advantage later on.

Finally, arguably possibly the worst tournament arc I have ever seen has ended. Just how many chapters did we need to dedicate to the joke of "shounen school protagonist and his commoner team, uses effort to unexpectedly beat nobles ...except lol, that's obviously not how the real world works and they are actually just random one-off side-chars in this story"?

Holy HELL, finally! If I had to wait for this chapter by chapter, week by week when it was caught up I would've probably snapped my own neck with how much this manga blue balls the reader. Been waiting for MC to do literally anything and now the time has come...

Thanks for all the chapters. It’s finally MCs turn, I was getting annoyed that everyone was treating him as useless.

If you're gonna make a power fantasy isekai manga you might as well have the main character actually do stuff with his overpowered-ness, it's chapter 43 and I think he's done a grand total of 3 things?
  • Summoned a golem against that kidnapper summoner and changed its element
  • Summoned leviathan and turned it into a spear
  • This, now
Also complete sidenote but I'd like to get it off my chest that I dislike how the princess went from a tomboy to a stock standard fantasy princess

The problem is that when you create an isekai with one overpowered MC and team him with four others is that whenever those people fight you just ask “when are we going to get to Goku”

It takes real good writing to make people fall in love with Mumen Rider. I just don’t really feel that here.

The main issue is that those chars are also just new chars that just appeared. And we are sitting here reading it as if you just picked up a shounen magic-school manga mid-tournament arc 3 volumes in. With all the "nakamah powah" being done among unknown chars, where they talk about "oohh, look at the character progression for char D! They have grown and truly thinks of ppl as their friends now!" and stuff. But we haven't seen them being standoffish and stuff.

It is why I feel certain it is meant to be a joke/satire of the entire tournament arc trope. Because at this level it can't just be mere bad writing (though there is some of that too)

This arc can, and I say this with genuine feeling, get McFucked. The people we're supposed to be rooting for have no emotional investment because they were introduced, what? One chapter before the start of the tournament?

And then they go on and on about the fucking power of friendship as if this were fucking Fairy Tail to the point I want to vomit out of sheer PTSD.

And to add insult to injury, the antagonists don't even have the decency to clear the insanely low bar of being mustache-twirling. These fuckers are so absurdly one-dimensional they call paper fat and it's giving me a headache from rolling my eyes so much.

thanks for the TL, i am glad this came in bulk because it allowed me to just straight up skip the bullshit and get to the part where the MC stops sucking his thumbs and actually does something.

You know, I agree with the comment before me. This stretched out arc should've get uploaded in bulk until the chapter where it ends or at least where the cliffhanger isn't as awful as this one. Sure it'd take longer but that's better than this way.

Fuck it. This should be the norm tbh. I still remember that one scanlator doing the next chapter instead of the .5 filler chapter to avoid ruining the pace.
