I got tricked into reading this thanks to the initial premise, but why am I not surprised that the author of Freezing made this? It's so insufferably poorly written I couldn't even read the few chapters after the big reunion and what little I did read was somehow worse.
Like, the MC's whole reason for hiding his powers for like 5 fuckin years is so that way he's not separated from his parents. The only reason the stupid fuck ass dragon hunt happened in the first place is because mrs dumbass/eye candy princess broke their promise. That's already one thing to be really pissed off about, then they strongarm him into that suicidal mission in the first place and blackmail him into going to the typical magical school that has somehow contributed nothing to the supposed country-collapsing threat that is looming, meanwhile everyone's sitting on their hands blaming each other and doing even dumber things than some of the most hammed up and poorly written villains I've read.

This writing genuinely pisses me off. The MC really doesn't have any value system, lets himself get treated like dirt and the author's just trying to whitewash the bullshit that occurs just because they're hot women?? Like tf dude. And I barely got through 30 chapters of this dogwater, there's fuckin 130 chapters currently translated. I always hate it when people being shitty is just somehow excused because MC is spinless or they just fail to address the issue. It's just shitty writing.


I read all sorts of trash isekai and fantasy in general, I've even read some pretty shitty manhwa, but nothing comes close to this.

Gets mentioned multiple times, mc loses the power to create those elixir scrolls after getting his powers back, but I find it odd that he doesn’t invest more time into researching a way to get that ability back xD

I see a lot of comments crapping on this, but I love Im Dal Young's work. Seems like most the comments boil down to "why isn't he just callously talking over the world" or "why are human beings in extreme emotional states not following the most optimal logical solutions at all times."

Having just speed read to 145, there's always explanations given for their actions, and he's shown time and again to not be the most powerful being in the verse. He also fell victim to his own arrogance and talent in his past life and is determined to not do the same here.

The last bit is funny, as it feels very much like a self-insert of Young's own life. He's notorious for taking on too many projects and having to drop or end them prematurely, despite being one of the pre-emininent mangaka of his generation.

there is that, and then there is this MC who, during peaceful moment, where one of his "mother" is about to die and he did jackshit to found out why he can't make elixirs to cure her or even trying. "oh my god, this person that is so impotant to me is about to die, anyway i can't make elixiers anymore, ehto beh-" then he fuck off to next arc.

there is also him as far as i remember, never training or doing anything to improve upon his power.

Like sure there is many time where people complaint why MC didn't do something during stressful time. i agree.
but then there is horror movie-esq level of retardation where obivous way out is there but author just keep draging it on for meaningless drama, something i see to be major complaint people always have about Im Dal Young's work.

Except he is one of the most powerful being in the verse, every fight so far is either he stomp enemy, or plot deus limit breaker and him one shot enemy with raw power. their is no creative " i will summond speciel effect" or something to add to the fight.
just summond strong -> win. lose?->power up-> Win. Elf girl that every enemy so far shit themself infront of her, have to nerf him.

MC is a artist while Im Dai young is writer. As far as we know, MC actually finish his job. while Im Dai young stop his work all the time.
i wasn't a writer so maybe i am wrong, but author just write word probably going to have easier time than artist. unless your work is that level of tolken or GRRM.
So if anything Kim Kwang Hyun is an artist that got drag down, having to draw such a good art for such a medicore rage bait story where author keep put it on hiatus.
Hell this isn't an adaptation, so Im Dai young got an easier job than his co-worker.
But both are probably friend, and kim probably got good profit for it, so it didn't sound as bad as i unintentionally put it.

But seriously, i hate story that put so little into character personality deverlopment and then have like 40-80% of panel/story be a fight, where it just 2 people lunch random attack at each other.
Then make antagonist smug and annoying as hell, have them commit henious crime then their dead is a quick and painless one as their family member cry for them.

The team behind is korean yes, but based in japan, this is written as a japanese story, for the japanese audience, with a japanese background setting and being published only under a japanese publisher, so is a japanese work through and through, for much that the writter is that hack Dall-Young, he stopped doing korean based works and switched to japanese works since JK Silver Plan

I think I hate the princess more than the MC. She's the cause of all MC's major problems and she accomplishes nothing by herself. Name me one time in this entire story that the princess wants something done and she doesn't immediately volunteer MC to do it for her. She wants to become queen, but has no plans for the kingdom, no power, her ability isn't mastered, no major backing, and she has to force MC to accompany her. I'd have ditched her long ago. Becoming queen is her goal, but MC is the one doing all the work. And ofc all the other frustrating nonsense that goes on. Over 100 chapters and nothing has really changed. If I paid to read, I'd want my money back by now with the lack of progress.
