That's a pretty sweet memory of yours, I like that.

Now for me, I choose Samurai Deeper Kyo.
I tried to read it again after a while but I couldn't get past the earlier chapters, thinking it was kinda dumb/bad (I grew up ^^).

The ride is not necesseraly always wholesome but it's certainely interesting.

It kinda has the "it's wrong to hurt others, but you hurt my family first" morals; it's pretty touching (at least at the time I read it, it was, and I still have fond memories of it).

Example of wholesomeness (very fitting for us MDF users ):

Thats a page in the last volume of the manga (38 volumes ) and that's not the best example.
