What's the point of a referee if you can't detect blalant foul play like that. Why is there no video footage for official tournaments? How has no one caught them doing these things before if they got to top 4 in a previous tournaments?

@Ryrie I had the exact same thoughts when reading these recent chapters, and the only real explanation is that it's just forced for plot - happens a lot where refs in sports manga just seem to miss the blatant stuff magically but never miss a single muscle twitch of the protagonist and friends.
