tbh I didn't notice the SFX until you mentioned them at the end lol
imo they're kind of annoying in general and I view them more like some "style characters" rather than having meaning lmao.
Thus I don't pay attention to them. idk about other people, but if ignoring them would save significant time, do that

For SFX just go with the one easier for u, but in my opinion I think at least try to translate it even as a sidenote, cz sometimes SFX can hint something happen in that moment or explain more detail about the picture, it rarely but happen...

Hmm, how are they watching a live TV broadcast when in a space that runs at 144 times the normal speed outside? From their perspective everything else would be going 144 times slower.

I sometimes watch youtube videos at half speed if the person is talking too fast. But watching at 1/144th speed would be unwatchable, assuming youtube didn't just end up showing me a lot of the buffering / loading spinning dialog.

The internet is probably also messed up, since from your computer / network's perspective everything is else is extremely slow. A gigabit connection would seem like a 7 megabit connection. Or your 100 megabit connection would seem like only ~0.7 megabit. Don't even think about an old 56k dialup modem...
