Seriously, it may be annoying to you, and as with any opinion there may be others who share that sentiment, yet that's about it. Case in point, I personally prefer to have both, being able to get both to read the individual pages at regular magnification on mobile set to Single page, Full width and to see the whole picture without actually needing it for its ultra small text to continue following any dialogue. Yes, it's a repetition, and yes, it's a compromise either way, but the point is that you don't get to state personal preference as if it were universal law and axiom.

Sure. But mobile phone is an inadequate medium to read manga, contrary to, for instance, webtoons, whose format has been conceived with mobile phone usage in mind. Even official online manga publishers systematically use a horizontal two pages presentation, adapted to PC or tablet usage. So, yeah, the complaints of people who use a medium that is unadapted to the content they wish to peruse are, indeed, as irrelevant as if I were to complain that I can’t fully enjoy the color illustrations of the light novels I read on my black-and-white e-paper reader.


TL;DR: you don’t get to complain for the consequences of your own choices.

I kind of feel like they're doing too many gimmicks here. Dungeons in Japan, unbalanced gender ratio, returning from defeating the demon lord. Pick one.

On a global scale 1:1000 isn't terrible. Like there's over 8 billion humans irl in 2025. Maybe if the demon king already wiped out the population prior? Also if this is only Japan and for some reason Japan is super isolated. Because Japan specifically already has a major super aging population problem (much of the developed world does but Japan is really bad). It's already a huge question of what the nation will do especially as immigrantion remains a major political, cultural, and social issue. Can't imagine that + all of a sudden a large quantity of one gender are wiped out.

Just started reading this and was about to comment the same thing. a 1:1000 ratio would mean there are still 8 million males around the world. Sure, a good percentage of that number would be either too young, or too old to count towards helping to keep the world population up, but that by no means would result in a "almost no men left" situation. Add a couple of zeros to that 1:1000 ratio, and then there would definitely be an issue.

At 1:1000, a male could probably work solely as a sperm bank supplier and live comfortably for the rest of thier life.
